Then again, he doesn't really keep track of time at all. So newly arrived in America, he situated himself the best he could and settled into "American" life. He was responsible enough at first, getting a simple job in the basement stacks of the library and renting a small apartment. But of course, like many young people, newly unfettered from the restraints of overbearing parents, he cut loose and danced into the party scene. Soon after he was involved in drugs and the like, and doing almost anything for money to satisfy his cravings he eventually fell into prostitution. Since of course the library job only paid for rent and some food, not that he needed a fix everyday. Just on the hard ones, you know? Because he certainly wasn't an addict. Oh how his parents would roil. But of course, they're dead (did I forget to mention that?), so I suppose the proper term would be "rolling over in their graves". Still, he has managed to keep his job, turn tricks on the corner near that little sex shop nobody talks about and somewhere along the way find a few hours sleep here and there. He's a good enough guy, and pretty unflappable. He's seen his fair share of the "bizarre" and "abnormal" and in all honesty, he really doesn't care either way.
